Travis Arket to Race for CharityTravis Arket is leading a team into the heart of the Himalayas to kick off a 3,000 mile journey in a 145cc golf cart!
If crab fishing wasn't extreme enough, try this!
It's called the Rickshaw Run. A charity rally that starts in Kathmandu, Nepal and ends 3,000 miles away in Pondicherry, India.
Travis and his team will race with 50 other teams from around the world over the length of the Himalayan mountain range, through unprecedented deserts, deep into tropical jungles, and through biblical monsoons all in a 145cc 7 horse-powered three-wheeled golf cart.
This particular event will raise money for development issues on the Indian sub-continent, such as water treatment and rural health care.
While staying in the same vein as crab fishing, this event boasts nothing but extreme. Every natural element will be traversed, every climate will be seen and every bit of physical fatigue will be felt. There is no support or backup and each team is on their own. Most say you've got to be crazy to do something like this. We say we've all been crazy for a long time, so its ok.
While the crew of the North American love to provide the world with delicious delicacies it doesn't stop there.
"We feel that creating smiles shouldn't end at the dinner plate", says Travis.
Lets help the earth and lets help each other
